Sitting on the veranda in the darkness this evening, the scent of Chinese jasmine, frangipani and gardenia came wafting in on the cool gentle breeze. Thunder rumbled, and flashes of lightening could be seen on the horizon, and the fresh alive smell of rain merged with the scent of these flowers, into a heady mix of tropical beauty. The veranda became a sanctuary, and I felt such gratitude to stop, and be embraced by this aliveness and silence.
