THE SPIRITUAL REVOLUTION

On Aug. 15, 1969, more than 400,00 young people made their way to a dairy farm in the town of Bethel, New York, for the WOODSTOCK MUSIC AND ART FAIR. The organizers were expecting 50,000 people max.

The event was billed as “three days of peace and music” and featured 32 of the most iconic artists in American music history. More than just a festival, Woodstock captured perfectly the free spirit of the 1960s and became a cultural landmark that represents an entire generation of American youth.

I was 14 years old when Woodstock happened, I knew something extraordinary was happening there, it was a revolution, it was the end of an era of extreme conservatism, and the beginning of a spiritual and social awakening. I wanted to be part of it, I knew it was something world changing, but at 14 and living in an isolated samll town in Australia there was no way I was going to be there.

The energy of that event reached the smallest towns throughout the world, including the one I lived in, that was the incredible impact and influence that Woodstock had on the world. It was a life changing event for myself and people all over the planet.

Just as at that time, the energy was beyond space and time, the revolution that was, and always will be, is the underlying love that was revealed then, and continues to be revealed endlessly in our lives.
